These experiments, crafted in indigenous and interactive ways, aimed to illustrate the underlying physical laws prominently.
Brief description of the event:
The workshop started on 10th December, 2025 after a short inaugural session. Thirty (30) students from undergraduate level had participated in the workshop from various colleges like Victoria Institution (College), Bangabasi College, Narasinha Dutt College, Bethune College, Asutosh College including The BES College. There were 18 various experiments arranged for the participants. All experiments were beyond regular syllabus and indigenous, aimed to illustrate the underlying physical laws prominently. Experiments with smart-phones acclaimed the most resourceful device to learn and teach basic physics. Total fifteen (15) groups were formed, and different experiments were distributed among them. After successful completion of the allotted experiments, a general discussion on the selected part of the workshop was conducted by the experts. Students were certified at the end of the workshop.
Outcome of the event:
Through this workshop, students had gained hands-on experience with physical laws, exploring complex concepts through simple yet effective experiments. They were trained how an experiment could be designed from an observation to get measurable physical parameters. They were also learned to work in a group. The objective of the workshop to inspire and guide students in their future pursuits in physical sciences.
