The Bhawanipur Education Society College has begun the initiative of the Bhawanipur Business Meet (B.B.M.) through its Collective of Bhawanipur Entrepreneurship and Start-up Training (B.E.S.T.). B.B.M. or Bhawanipur Business Meet is a business networking community run by the youth and for the youth, with the agenda of grooming one’s personality and communication skills. It aims to polish the skills of the youth to become great future leaders. The B.E.S.T. Collective plans these meetings every alternate Saturday, where they encourage and empower the youth to launch their business models.
On 14th June 2025, B.B.M. held its 3rd meeting in the Concept Hall of the college campus, starting at 10:30 A.M., to gather all young entrepreneurs and business owners from the college. The B.B.M. Committee includes its Founder and Director, Devansh Kapoor, and Treasurer, Vedant Gupta, who are supported by the founding committee members, namely Esha Khanna, Shreyan Majhi, and Abhiroop Sarkar. The B.B.M. core committee includes dynamic students, namely Disha Desai, Bakshish Singh, Vedika Lalka, Abhishek Shah, and Shivani Jain.
The Third B.B.M. began with the national anthem, followed by the introduction of its committee members. Following this, Treasurer Vedant Gupta shared the treasurer’s report of the first two meetings. His report stated that they had crossed over twenty referrals in just two meetings, which is an achievement, and the chapter turnover till date stands at ₹35,000. Then, Founder and Director Devansh Kapoor briefly presented the thought behind B.B.M. once more. One of the members shared his experience of being a part of B.B.M. with the house, pointing out that B.B.M. connected him with like-minded people with whom he could express himself. He realised where he stood, his faults, and how he improved over time, which became a game-changing moment for him. With that, all the guests introduced themselves and their companies to the audience.
The session was witnessed by the Rector and Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Dilip Shah; Dean of the Bhawanipur School of Event Management (BSEM), Preraana Khuller; and the Guest Speaker for the day, Suraj Juneja, along with other spectators.
First to take the stage was Mrs. Preraana Khuller, who enlightened the audience on how Bhawanipur School of Event Management itself was a startup. She went on to share her journey in building the startup—how she found the loopholes in the event industry and finally came up with solutions. She then introduced the Guest Speaker for the day, Suraj Juneja, the founder of FreeFlow Ventures, investor, and influencer. He has been a part of over 300 startups and 18 successful ventures.
Suraj Juneja took the stage and addressed two fundamental questions of entrepreneurship. The first question highlighted the fact that today’s youth want to pursue entrepreneurship but do not know what to do. Secondly, even if they figure out their inclinations as entrepreneurs, they do not know how to proceed. The keynote session highlighted these issues, and the speaker aptly explained how these problems can be solved, giving emphasis to how to look for business opportunities in the current market conditions. He suggested that the youth can fill the gaps present in the market. He also clarified concepts regarding whether and how an MBA benefits young entrepreneurs, and how skill-based programmes help entrepreneurs grow. He highlighted the reasons why many startups fail and how to avoid them.
Following this was the Member Pitching Round, where the guests introduced themselves, their fields of business, and spoke about the expectations and challenges they face in their entrepreneurship journey. The session ended with a group photograph.
The meeting concluded at around 12:30 P.M. with lunch, where all the guests had the opportunity to interact with each other and form valuable connections.
