Objective of the event: The lecture series constitutes an essential component of the Calcutta University semester 2 examination. The lecture series was organised to enable students to have a comprehensive understanding of different aspects of writ jurisdiction and role of the judiciary in India.
Brief description of the event: The six day lecture series was held on six Saturdays starting from 5th April and ending on 17th May, 2025. Advocate Soma Kar Ghosh dealt with the role of the Judiciary in India and also Judicial Activism and scope of writ jurisdiction in India.
Outcome of the event: The lectures were very engrossing for the students and they actively participated in it. The students submitted reports after every lecture.
