Summary
On 29th May 2024, an outreach cum awareness programme on ‘Save Water, Have Clean Water’ was organized by the Departments of Political Science and Sociology in collaboration with the NSS unit of The Bhawanipur Education Society College at the All Bengal Women’s Union (ABWU). The students made presentations on the necessity of water conservation, practical methods to save water, the dangers of drinking contaminated water, and the importance of accessing clean water. As part of the initiative, a water purifier cum cooler was donated to ABWU by the college. Two short films on the conservation of water were screened. A quiz competition for the children of ABWU was organized on this theme. The winners were given jars of Glucon D Orange as prizes. Additionally, an interactive session and a quiz was conducted on the same theme with the residents of the old age home at ABWU. The event turned out to be very informative, engaging and successful.
The Department of English of The Bhawanipur Education Society College organized a thought-provoking fifth installment of the UG Students’ Seminar on the 4th of May, 2024.
