Bich Kagay Jr. High School is a rural school which is located near Kagay Bazar at Kalimpong. Recently, the school has been extended up to class VIII. The school comprises twenty students and five volunteer teachers. The students obtained theoretical knowledge of basic computer courses but they had no computer for practicals. So, the students of the school faced difficulties in understanding the subject.
The teachers and students of the department reached the School around 11:30 AM in the morning on 21st March, 2023. They were warmly welcomed by the teachers and students of the School. Then the students of the department of Electronics assembled and installed the computer which was donated to that school.
An outreach program is an extension activity which contributes to the welfare of the society. With the help of the Computer, which was donated to the school, the students of that school will be able to learn basic computer applications efficiently. In addition, this activity may help the students of the college to build a sense of responsibility and sensitivity towards society. Moreover, they can grow their leadership skills in the context of multicultural society.
The Department of Electronics is thankful to the management of the college and Dr. Pinki Saha Sardar, Vice Principal of Science Section for their support to conduct the entire project.
