Sanmarg, the Hindi Daily Eastern, India’s Largest Hindi Daily Paper held their auditions for the 5th edition of ‘Vaad Samvaad’, an intercollege Hindi debate competition on November 24th 2023 at the Society Hall of the campus. Sanmarg team organized the auditions at The Bhawanipur Education Society College and informed that the fifth edition of this much-awaited Vaad Samvad is going to be organized on a large scale on Friday, 1st December. 2023. The event began at 11.00 am at the Society Hall where post registrations of the participants were given “for” or “against” side of each topic in each session. A total of 15 colleges from West Bengal participated and the final topic allotted for the Finale was “Are smartphones making our relationships unsmart.” They announced that the winners will be given a free trip to Goa.
Students of Bhawanipur College got in the top ten places in the debate, and a final round was conducted with the remaining 10 shortlisted candidates. Mr. Naresh Aggarwal, Chairman of Kushal Bharat Group, Motivational Speaker Ms. Naina More, Ms.Swati Gautam, Founder and CEO of Necessity and Mr. Palash Chaturvedi, Mr. Shiv Jaiswal, Mr. Dinesh Chandra Badera, Co-Founders of East India Dastan Goals were present as the esteemed judges of the program. From the Bhawanipur College, Shreyansh Kumar, Ujjwal Karamchandani, and Yash Patni were among the top ten students along with Shivam Pandey, Prem Deep Jha, Omkar Banerjee, Kiran Deep Kaur, Amrit Dhadhariya, Shweta Kumari and Gunja Gupta from other colleges.
Sanmarg has been continuously striving to create a platform for meaningful dialogue and discussion in Hindi on socially relevant topics through its platform Vaad Samvad. The Sanmarg team believes the youth and their viewpoints are integral and reflect the changing direction of our society and hence to develop their opinions, the debate was an important platform to be offered. From the college management, Mr. Miraj D Shah, Vice Chairman of The Bhawanipur Education Society College, congratulated the winners Shivam Pandey and Kiran Deep Kaur. He said that The Bhawanipur Education Society College has always been promoting Hindi as a language. Prof. Meenakshi Chaturvedi, Coordinator, B.com (Morning) & Ms.Vasundhara Mishra, Dr. Sampa Sinha were also present throughout the event.
On 8th July 2021, the students as well as the teachers of the Department of Education organised a cultural program. It was an online program which started at 12.15 noon.
