Webinar on “Ongoing Russia Ukraine Crisis”
The Department of Political Science organised a Webinar on “Ongoing Russia Ukraine Crisis” on 5th March 2022. Besides, being available on Google Meet, the event was also available on a large screen in the Concept Hall, 6th Floor of our college premises in order to accomodate a large number of participants. There was an overwhelming participation of around 200 teachers, students and others. The resource person was Dr. Anindyo Jyoti Majumdar, Professor, Department of International Relations, Jadavpur University. The program started with the welcome address delivered by Amala Dhandhania, Associate Professor of the department. She expressed her concern over the prevailing war scenario especially at a time when the world has already been fighting with Covid-19 for more than two years. Thereafter there was a presentation of a poem titled Yudh,Yudh, Yudh,written and recited by Dr. Vasudhara Mishra of the department of Hindi of the college.
This was followed by the presentation of Dr Anindyo Jyoti Majumdar. Dr. Majumdar presented a comprehensive trajectory of the present crisis between Russia and Ukraine and its probable impact on global political, economic and strategic cooperation among the major powers. The discussion by Dr. Majumdar was followed by an enriching question answer session. The event was concluded by Dr. Debanjana Chakravarti, Associate Professor of the department, with the vote of thanks. The entire program was coordinated by Prof. Lopamudra Majumdar.
