A jugalbandi or jugalbandhi is a performance in Indian classical music, especially the Hindustani classical music that features a duet of two solo musicians. The word jugalbandi means, literally, “Entwined twins.”
Umang 2014 hosted the event ‘Jugalbandi’ which was judged by Siddharth Pathak, Kunal Saha and Bachospati Chakraborty. The event took place in the main stage and started at 1pm. The participants went up on stage in their respective bands and performed with the use of various instruments. There were two participating teams. The first team used guitars, harmonium and a desk as their instruments. The second team shoved it up with synthesizer, drums and tabla.
