The Bhawanipur Education Society College (BESC) in association with Institute of Cost Accountants of India organized a Panel Discussion (webinar) on the topic “Opportunities & Threats in Recruitment Process Post Covid 19 Crisis”. The Special Guest of the Webinar was CMA Balwinder Singh, President with Dr. D.P Nandy, Senior Director of the Cost Accountant’s Institute. The webinar was witnessed by 153 participants who are mostly B.com students.
The Speakers on the Panel were CS Ashok Pareek, Director of Srei Group, Nihar Vasa (PWC), Souvik Roy, Federal Bank and Prof. Dilip Shah, Dean of BESC. The Panel Discussion was anchored by CS Mohit Shaw who was well supported by other members of the organizing team including CA Vivek Patwari and Deepak Bagla.
During the discussion, the panelists highlighted the major impact of the pandemic on the economy and how corporates have adapted to re-gear their cost management system. The entire discussion pointed out the impact which the recruitment process can undergo post Covid 19 crisis.
‘Work from home concept’ was also explained to the aspirants who are undergoing their graduation course. The speakers advised to enhance skills and practical knowledge through various e learning platform and pay due attention to their personality and communication skills during the phase of lockdown. Prof. Dilip Shah emphasized on the adaptability factor and how the college is adding value to the profile of the students through various initiatives which are the need of the hour.
In the concluding part of the webinar the anchor CS Mohit Shaw summarized the overall discussion which covered the situation created by Covid 19 and to see it as an opportunity to enhance productivity and plan their career path accordingly.
