“What did the loyal calculator say to man? You can count on me!” To make a calculator loyal one needs to grasp the secrets hidden in it. As we all know that Bhawanipur Education Society College has a challenging trend of raising its bar higher than the rest, on 2nd September, 2019, the college has organised a special seminar on Calculator Secrets. The Jubilee Hall was agog with 1st & 2nd year students approximately 250 from mostly commerce department. The seminar started at 10:30 am with Mohit Shaw, a faculty who introduced the speaker and the relevance of the topic. Prof Meenakshi Chaturvedi also briefly spoke on the occasion.
Mr Vivek Patwari, an ex faculty of BESC and a C.A & C.S occupied centre stage. As a faculty, he was immensely popular among the students as well as his colleagues for his sharp intellect and sparkling connoisseurship. He shared his very special knowledge regarding calculator secrets with the students. The speaker conveyed few basic and simple calculator tricks to help the 1st & 3rd semester students from Commerce departments and the C.A students to solve the MCQ within the given period of time. The tricks and secrets shown by Sir Vivek Patwari were truly amazing and the entire seminar was spellbinding.
At the end of the seminar there was a question answer session. Mr Patwari added a lot of drama and fun in the course of his deliberation and closely interacted with the young crowd. On the other hand the students were seen requesting the authorities to have more such seminars in future.
