They came, they saw and they conquered. This is what Bhawanipur Education Society College has aimed for the last 50 years to make leaders who have the courage to conquer the world. BESC AON aims to be one of the leading Model United Nations conferences in the Eastern India circuit, situated in Kolkata itself. Being known for the quality it delivers each year, the debates in the conference have set its bar higher than the previous year. On 27th July, 2019, “The Society Hall” witnessed a thronging 150 students from B.A, B.Sc and B.Com who were enthusiastic enough to understand and be a part of the process some day.
The BESC AON endeavours to unite gifted and accomplished delegates from across the globe and to provide a significant platform for them to engage in matters which have got international relevance. Assembly of Nations Induction was inaugurated by Rishav Baranwal, the Secretary General of BESC AON 2019 and Swapneel Thakur, the Deputy Secretary General of BESC AON 2019 at 11:00 am onwards.
Their speech started with the introduction to the procedure on how the United Nations work followed by enlightening the audience as to what exactly Model United Nations Conference is and how it works. The reaction seemed so positive and vibrant that the speakers wielded the baton and spoke on length about the fifth edition of the Inter College Model United Nations Conference scheduled to be held in September, 2019. The speakers also ensured that this Model United Nations Conference will provide the participants with this opportunity to put into practice their public speaking skills and handling International Affairs diplomatically yet smartly.
With the dire hope of witnessing the students to take the challenge with enough dynamism and pulsating spirit for the upcoming conference, the speakers ended their speech and proposed an open welcoming note to take part and raise the bar.
