Commerce
The M.Com degree at BESC is an autonomous, two-year postgraduate programme under Calcutta University with a rigorous course structure consisting of four semesters and was introduced in the 2012 session.
The college conducts its M.Com course as per the notification no. CSR/9/05 of the University of Calcutta. Marksheets of the M.Com. examinations are issued by the college. Each successful candidate is awarded the Master in Commerce (M.Com) degree in the form of a certificate stating his/her area of specialisation, the year of passing and the class in which he/she was placed, duly endorsed by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calcutta.
Admission Procedure
Admission to M.Com generally starts in the month of August, after the declaration of the result of the B.Com Semester VI Examinations by the University of Calcutta.

Course Structure
The programme is divided into four semesters. Each semester has five papers. [20 papers of 100 marks each; including 20 marks for Internal Assessment in each paper]

Course Eligibility
Honours graduate in Commerce of current and preceding year.
Commerce graduates with an Honours degree from a recognised university. A minimum of second division pass marks in B.Com (Honours)
