In this highly goal-oriented era of the Digital age, the new age motto of skill-based knowledge has become of prime importance for the students in the country. To keep up with the changing trends, The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised a seminar in collaboration with Larson & Toubro EduTech. The seminar was on 20th March 2023 at 11:30 A.M in the Society Hall with over 90 students from different courses trying to understand what the skill requirements for the new age work are.
Larson & Toubro commonly known as L&T, is an Indian multinational conglomerate company, which has entered the education sector by providing skill-based courses to students to learn self-paced in online mode. These courses would enable the students to learn the necessary skills as required by L&T & its Corporate Conglomerates. The session began with an Introduction to L&T EduTech by Mr. Govind Shaw from L&T, taking care of HR, Project Implementation under CSR & Administration activity of the Kolkata office. He ran the students through various courses offered by L&T including one on Data Analytics, Finance & Accounts, etc. which prepares students for job roles like Data Analyst, Research Analyst, Finance Associate, etc.
After an eye-opening session on what skills can be learned for better employability, the students enquired how they can enrol in the courses & enhance their job opportunities. The seminar ended at 12:30 P.M. with a Closing Address by the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Dilip Shah encouraging students to catch up with the times & become job ready by the time they graduate. The idea behind the Seminar was to make the students familiar with what the Corporates really expect from Job Seekers & how to level up to their expectations through such courses.
