The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised an Awareness Camp on the Cooperative Movement on 29th July 2026 at Jubilee Hall. Held from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m., the programme witnessed the participation of nearly 150 students and aimed to spread awareness about the significance of cooperative societies and the role of the cooperative movement in promoting inclusive growth and community development.

Organised by the Department of English (B.A.), the session was conducted by the department’s faculty members, who introduced students to the concept of cooperative societies, their objectives, and their contribution to social and economic development. Through simple examples and interactive discussions, the speakers explained how the cooperative model encourages collective responsibility, democratic participation, and shared growth.

To make the session more engaging, the organisers conducted a quiz based on the topics discussed. Students participated enthusiastically, making the activity both informative and enjoyable. The quiz encouraged participants to recall key concepts while creating a lively learning environment.

The programme concluded with an interactive discussion, during which students shared their views and raised questions about the functioning and relevance of cooperative societies in the present day. The faculty members addressed these queries and encouraged students to appreciate the role of cooperation in building stronger communities and promoting sustainable development.

Overall, the awareness camp proved to be an insightful learning experience. By combining informative sessions with interactive activities, the programme successfully introduced students to the principles of the cooperative movement while encouraging them to understand its relevance in today’s society.
