Objective of the Activity:
To provide relief from the scorching summer heat by distributing nimbu paani among pedestrians, workers, and local residents, while promoting the values of service, care, and social responsibility among volunteers.

Brief Description of the Activity:
Thirst Aid 2026 was conducted as a three-day outreach initiative by the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of The BESC from 14th June 2026 to 17th June 2026. The programme aimed to support people during the intense summer by distributing fresh nimbu paani at various locations. Volunteers actively participated in preparing and serving the drink to passersby, daily wage workers, and local residents. Across the three days, a total of 380 litres of nimbu paani was distributed, reflecting the collective effort and commitment of the volunteers towards community welfare.

Outcome of the Activity:
The initiative successfully provided refreshment and relief to a large number of people during the summer heat. It strengthened the spirit of community service among the volunteers and highlighted the importance of small acts of kindness in addressing immediate public needs.
