Objective of the Activity:
To provide safe drinking water to commuters, pedestrians, daily wage workers, and traffic personnel during the summer season while promoting the values of community service, compassion, and social responsibility among NSS volunteers.





Brief Description of the Activity:
Water Mates was conducted on 23rd June 2026 from 10:00 a.m. onwards at Elgin Road Crossing and Elgin Road Bus Stand. The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of The Bhawanipur Education Society College organized this water distribution drive to provide relief to commuters, pedestrians, traffic personnel, and daily wage workers affected by the intense summer heat. During the programme, a total of 120 litres of drinking water was distributed to people passing through the area. The initiative was carried out by NSS volunteers with enthusiasm and dedication, reflecting the spirit of selfless service and community welfare.
Outcome of the Activity:
The programme successfully provided immediate relief from the summer heat to commuters and pedestrians while promoting humanitarian values among the NSS volunteers. It strengthened the volunteers’ sense of social responsibility and highlighted the importance of small acts of service in contributing to community well-being.
