The Department of Commerce (Afternoon & Evening Section) organized a series of students’ webinars between the 30th of July and the 31st of August, 2020. As many as sixteen webinars were conducted over the Google Meet platform
The categorization was done on the basis of semester and session.Respective mentors thguided their mentees through the process. Students were split into groups of three orfour and advised to make PPTs on the chosen subject matter. A host of distinct contemporary topics were considered by the students for their discourse and presentation, at the webinars. From the impact of COVID-19 on various economic sectors to adapting to the new normal, from structural transformation in the education system to the value of conversation in ending stigma attached to mental health- the students addressed them all. Each webinar opened with a felicitous welcome address followed by organized presentation of slides, accompanied by fittingly weighed deliberation and closed with a ceremonious vote of thanks. Students who presented at the webinars received ‘Certificate of Presentation’ and those who participated as audience received ‘Certificate of Participation’.
The credit for the uninterrupted and smooth execution of the webinar goes to the technical support team comprising Ms. Arundhati Mazumder, Ms.Gargi and Ms. Nandini Dey. Designing and drafting of all the sixteen posters for the webinars was done by Ms. ArundhatiMazumder. The relentless involvement of mentors along with prompt enthusiam and earnest commitment from students resulted in each webinar being a stupendous success.
