Rifle Shooting is a game of concentration and aim and is of two types, one is open sight and another one is peep sight. The Department of Games and Sports of the college organized an Intra College Rifle shooting Championship (Boys & Girls) from 16th to 18th May 2023. The Open sight rifle shooting began from 10.00 am to 3 pm in Valia Hall where 236 students of which most were beginners, participated in the Championship. The students were given 5 rounds of pellets to fire in the target paper and the one with the maximum points would add up to each of the players.
The Results of the Boy’s team were as follows:
1st position – With 43 points Muqaddas Bin Nasir of B.SC 2nd Year
2nd position – With 42 points Md Afzal Kausar of BA 1st Year.
3rd position – With 41 points Preet Mahalka of B.Com 1st Year
4th position – With 40 points Jai Kumar Sharma of B.Com 3rd Year.
5th position – With 39 points Kunwar Pratap Singh of B.Com 1st Year
The Results of the Girl’s team were as follows:
1st position – With 39 points Sneha Singh of BA 3rd Year
2nd position – With 38 points Maitreyee Ghosh of B.Sc 1st year
3rd position – With 37 points Apurba Saini of B.Com 2nd year
4th position – With 35 points Tamanna Sayed of BA 1st year
5th position – With 33 points Iffat Shahid of B.Com 2nd year
The success of this Championship owes its credit to Mr. Rupesh Gandhi, Sports Officer, The Bhawanipur Education Society College. The event fosters a strong sense of focused sportsmanship among the students.
