Objective of the event:
To inform and illuminate students about the achievements of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee as part of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Fortnight

Brief description of the event:
The Department of History in collaboration with IQAC, The Bhawanipur Education Society College, organised an invited lecture on the theme Remembering Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee: Some of His Major Achievements. Prof. Dey elaborated on the role of Syama Prasad Mookerjee in the history of modern Bengal and its political history. The role of Dr. Mookerjee in the educational sphere and his inclusivist nature was illustrated in the lecture. His close collaboration with contemporary political personalities of the time was discussed. Prof. Dey also discussed the need to study the role of Dr. Mookerjee in new perspectives.

Outcome of the event:
The event was a success and made the students aware of the role of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee in modern perspective. His contribution was highlighted for better understanding among the students.
