Objective of the Activity:
To promote physical and mental well-being among visually impaired students through yoga practices and to encourage inclusive wellness initiatives as part of the “100 Days Countdown” to International Yoga Day.

Brief Description of the Activity:
The NSS Unit of The Bhawanipur Education Society College successfully organized Yoga Wellness Session–2 at Calcutta Blind School on 17 April 2026 as part of the “100 Days Countdown” to International Yoga Day. The programme was conducted for blind and partially blind students of Classes VII to XI with the objective of promoting holistic well-being through yoga. The session focused on basic yoga asanas, stretching exercises, and breathing techniques, with special emphasis on clear verbal instructions and inclusive participation. The programme was conducted by Mr. Adwitio Sengupta, Faculty, Art of Living, whose dedication, patience, and thoughtful approach made the session highly effective and meaningful. With active support from NSS volunteers, the students enthusiastically participated in the activities, creating a supportive and motivating atmosphere that encouraged confidence, focus, and body awareness among the participants.

Outcome of the Activity:
The session successfully highlighted the importance of accessible wellness practices and demonstrated that yoga can be beneficial for individuals of all abilities. The participants experienced improved confidence, concentration, and physical awareness, while the programme reinforced the values of inclusivity, empathy, and holistic well-being within the community.
