Objective of the Activity:
The objective of the programme was to introduce students to the vision and activities of the National Service Scheme (NSS) and to inspire them to actively engage in community service. The induction aimed to highlight the role of youth in social development and encourage students to contribute meaningfully towards creating positive social change.

Youth and Community Services A Path to Personal Growth and Community Development – NSS Induction

Brief Description of the Activity:
The NSS Unit of The Bhawanipur Education Society College organized its induction programme titled “Youth and Community Services: A Path to Personal Growth and Community Development” on 08th September 2025 at the Placement Hall from 11:00 AM onwards. The programme featured distinguished speakers, social activist Mr. Mudar Patheyra and Special Educator Ms. Aruna Bhaskar, who shared their valuable experiences and insights on the importance of youth participation in social work and community development.

The speakers emphasized how active involvement in social service contributes not only to the betterment of society but also to the personal growth, leadership skills, empathy, and social awareness of young individuals. Through their inspiring narratives and practical experiences, they motivated students to become responsible citizens and active contributors to social causes. The session provided participants with a deeper understanding of the significance of volunteerism and the transformative impact of community engagement.

Outcome of the Activity:
The induction programme successfully motivated students to explore and participate in NSS activities and community service initiatives. The insightful discussions by the resource persons enhanced participants’ understanding of social responsibility and the role of youth in nation-building. The programme encouraged students to develop a spirit of volunteerism, empathy, and civic engagement, thereby laying the foundation for their active involvement in future NSS programmes and community development activities.
