The Department of Psychology organized a special lecture titled “HRM in today’s context with special emphasis on the role of AI in recruitment and selection” on 14 August 2026 at Room No. 533, from 3:00 pm onwards. The lecture was delivered by Ms. Debanjana Basu, Assistant Professor, Bethune College, and organized by departmental teachers Ms.Rishmita Banerjee and Ms. Anushree Basu.

The session was intended for the Interdisciplinary Course students enrolled in the semesters 1 and 2. It explored contemporary dimensions of human resource management and their influence on organizational HRM policy-making, covering topics such as globalization, workforce diversity, work models and ethics, training and development (HRD), talent management, AI readiness versus AI acceptance, AI tools in recruitment and selection, and mental health and employee wellbeing.
