The Department of Sociology had organised a screening of film ‘ Haq’ on 29.8.26. Haq a courtroom drama is inspired by the landmark 1985 Shah Bano Supreme Court case and explores the heavy conflict between women’s rights, constitutional law, and religious personal laws in 1980’s India.

It was a captivating screening attended by students and faculty members of the different departments.  The session was highly engaging and kept everyone engrossed from start to finish. Dynamic discussions at the end of screening sparked great energy and meaningful participation . The impactful content of the movie and the participation by the audiences made the entire experience both memorable and valuable.
