The Bhawanipur Education Society College proudly felicitated 178 of its brightest stars on August 31st, 2024. These exceptional students were honoured with gleaming medals, certificates, and fee-exempted cheques, reflecting the college’s commitment to supporting their academic journey. Not only was the first-semester fee refunded, but the subsequent academic years were also significantly subsidized, underscoring the celebration of their relentless pursuit of education and academic excellence.
The ceremony began with the traditional lamp lighting, followed by an inspiring address from the Chairman, Sri Rajnikant Dani. He congratulated the Bhawanipur scholars, acknowledging the invaluable support and sacrifices of their families that underpin every success. He emphasized that this achievement is not the end, but a stepping stone towards continued excellence.
Dr. Suman Mukerjee, in his welcoming speech, encouraged the scholars to maintain their momentum, emphasizing the importance of time management, optimism, and the values of Swami Vivekananda. He urged students to follow their path with resilience and positivity, much like the Beatles’ song “Here Comes the Sun,” highlighting the importance of family values, conflict resolution, and independent thinking.
As each scholar’s name was announced, they received their medals and certificates amidst applause, joined by esteemed members of the management including Smt. Nalini Parekh, Sri Jogesh Shah, Sri Bharat Ajmera, Sri. Jitu Shah, and Sri. Umesh Patel, who participated in the felicitation.
The event was beautifully anchored by Srishti Jhunjhunwala and managed seamlessly by a dedicated team of volunteers, ensuring a smooth and memorable experience for everyone present.
A special highlight of the event was the recognition of Sonakshi Kar, the talented musician known for her performances on Indian Idol Junior and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs. She graced the stage with a captivating performance of “Rahe Na Rahe Hum” and received a special award, with a promise to continue collaborating with the institution in the future.
Arpit Agarwal, one of the scholarship recipients, extended a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude towards the institution’s dedication to holistic student development. In his closing remarks, Prof. Dilip Shah, Rector & Dean of Student Affairs, encouraged the students to live life to the fullest, engage actively in campus activities, and take initiative in creating their own opportunities. He emphasized that Bhawanipur College jaise Zindagi na milegi dobara. The ceremony concluded with group photographs and a shared commitment to give back to the institution, with these scholars being the torchbearers for future generations.
