The Bhawanipur Education Society College celebrated Saraswati Puja on the 5th of February from 9AM onwards. Goddess Saraswati is the deity of knowledge, learning, arts, music and language. This day is very important in the life of all those who are associated with these verticals.
The celebration was a string of apt and pleasant events all lined up. To begin with, the college had invited orphan children for the start of the NSS activity- ‘Each One Teach One’. 10 college students pledged to take up this noble work for a year. After Pooja Archana the celebration began. Crescendo and Flames collectives put their shows which were amazing as always. The college also had organised competitions like: Rangoli Making, Conch Shell Blowing, Aarti Thali Decoration and Shlok Recitation, in which the students participated with enthusiasm. Next, faculty members of the college were felicitated for their PhDs and for their research papers published in national and international journals. There were 32 of them and all of them were felicitated by the college with a shawl and other goodies. Their work like journals, books and articles were displayed in front of the gathering. Finally, we had the prize distribution ceremony for the winners in different competitions.
This auspicious day marks the significance of Goddess Saraswati in our lives and the significance of skills, knowledge, and wisdom. The college celebrated it with great joy.
