Andrew Scolt, renowned quiz master and the Vice President of Derek O’Brien & Associates conducted the latest in the series of Q’riousity quizzes in the Bhawanipur Education Society college.
The event was organised on 23 rd February, 2018 and was hosted by the Quizzing collective of the BESC which is fast becoming one of the most active student activity clubs of the college.
Sixteen teams comprising of two members each participated in the quiz – an event that had about a hundred students joining in as spectators.
After a roller-coaster of highly engaging (and taxing for the participants and audience alike) rounds, the team comprising of Basudeb Moulik and Supratim Dutta emerged victorious.
Bishal Bhattacharyya with team mate Rishi Kumar took the silver, followed by Rahul Joshi and Tanya Agarwal.
The Quiz master was felicitated on behalf of the college by Prof Dilip Shah, the Dean of Student Affairs of the BESC, who hailed the way the students of the college have taken to quizzing and thanked the Quiz Master for helping spread the cult of quizzing aficionados.
Pooja Manot was singled out for the praises which accrued to her for all the effort put in to put quizzing in the BESC
event calendar.
