Objective of the Activity:
The objective of the programme was to promote the Fit India Movement and encourage a healthy and active lifestyle among youth. The event also aimed to spread awareness about environmental sustainability through the message “Save Energy, Go Green” and inspire participants to contribute towards a cleaner and greener environment.
Brief Description of the Activity:
The NSS Unit of The Bhawanipur Education Society College participated in the Kolkata Cyclothon – 5 km Run organized by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) on 09th November 2025. The event provided NSS volunteers with an excellent opportunity to engage in a large-scale fitness and environmental awareness initiative free of cost.
The programme was conducted with the objective of promoting the Fit India Movement and disseminating the message of “Save Energy, Go Green.” NSS volunteers, accompanied by the NSS Programme Officer, actively participated in the run, demonstrating their enthusiasm for physical fitness, teamwork, and social responsibility. The event brought together individuals from diverse backgrounds who collectively supported the cause of health, environmental conservation, and sustainable living.
Outcome of the Activity:
The programme successfully encouraged participants to adopt healthier lifestyles while raising awareness about environmental sustainability. The NSS volunteers gained valuable exposure to large-scale public initiatives promoting fitness and ecological responsibility.
