The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised an Intra-College Badminton Tournament on 9–10 September 2026 at Park Circus Bayam Samity. Held over two days from 10:00 A.M., the tournament witnessed the participation of over 50 students, bringing together student badminton enthusiasts with a shared passion for the sport. The event provided participants with a platform to compete, showcase their abilities, and experience the spirit of healthy competition.
The matches were conducted under the supervision of referees Achin Kumar Mahapatra and Jeet Naskar, who ensured that the matches were conducted smoothly and fairly. Across both days, the players displayed determination, agility, and competitive spirit, with the matches demanding quick reflexes, accurate shots, movement, and consistency on the court.
The tournament aimed to encourage students to take an active interest in sports while giving them an opportunity to develop their skills through competitive play. Along with physical fitness, the event promoted discipline, sportsmanship, focus, and perseverance, encouraging students to challenge themselves and perform under competitive conditions.
The matches saw several engaging performances, with players demonstrating their individual playing styles and adapting to the challenges posed by their opponents. The rallies demanded patience and concentration, while the pace of the games tested the participants’ stamina and ability to respond quickly. Players maintained their composure during closely contested moments and continued to give their best throughout the tournament. The competitive atmosphere was further enhanced by the enthusiasm of fellow students, creating an encouraging environment around the court.
The tournament also provided an opportunity for students to interact beyond the classroom and learn from one another through competition. While the matches remained competitive, they were accompanied by a strong sense of camaraderie and mutual encouragement. The performances across both categories reflected the enthusiasm and sporting talent present among the students.
In the Girls’ category, Roshni Singh emerged as the winner, followed by Srijani Mallick as the 1st Runner-up and Adrija Dey as the 2nd Runner-up. In the Boys’ category, Arshh Sharma emerged as the winner, while Chandril Manna finished as the 1st Runner-up and Hritabrata Chakrabarty as the 2nd Runner-up.
Beyond the final results, the tournament served as a platform for students to test their abilities, improve their skills, and gain valuable experience through competitive badminton. The performances also highlighted the growing interest in sports among students and the importance of providing them with opportunities to pursue their interests alongside academics.
