Objective of the event
To inform and instruct the students about the role of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in Indian freedom movement.

Brief description of the event
The Department of History organised a field visit to Netaji Bhawan on August 12, 2026. Students of Semester 1and 2 were taken to Netaji Subhas Chandra’s home to inform his role in the freedom struggle. Netaji’s life, his accomplishments and his Great Escape on the intervening night of January 16-17, 1941 were discussed in detail. His role as Congress President and travels across the world to garner support for India’s struggle for liberation was discussed with the students.

Outcome of the event
The students were incredibly engaged through out the visit and learned numerous facets of Netaji and Sisir Bose’s life which was hitherto unknown to them.
