On 26 July 2026, the cadets of the Tri Shakti NCC Collective, The Bhawanipur Education Society College, observed the 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas with a solemn Shraddhanjali to the heroes of the 1999 Kargil War. The ceremony included wreath laying by Commander Mrinmoy Ghosh, Commanding Officer, 2 Bengal Naval Unit NCC, Professor Dilip Shah, PI staffs from 2 Bengal Naval Unit NCC and 31 Bengal Naval Unit NCC, followed by the National Anthem, an informative film on the Kargil War, and a patriotic song by the cadets.






A moving presentation of The Last Letter by Captain Vijayant Thapar, Vir Chakra, highlighted the sacrifices of Indian soldiers. Commander Mrinmoy Ghosh, inspired the cadets with a motivational address on discipline, courage, and service to the nation.
A firing competition was organized during the officers’ high tea, and the winning SW and SD cadets were felicitated by NCC Officer Aritrica Dubey and Sports Officer Rupesh Gandhi of BESC, with copies of Nation First written by Mrs. Shikha Saxena, wife of Kargil Veteran Capt Akhilesh Saxena.





The event concluded as a heartfelt tribute to India’s brave soldiers, reinforcing the values of patriotism, discipline, and selfless service among the cadets.
