The Bhawanipur Education Society College organised an Interactive Session on Wealth Management on 28th July 2026 at the Society Hall. The 90-minute session, held from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., witnessed the participation of around 70 students. The session was organised as part of Commerce Lab 3, a short programme centred on various aspects of the world of commerce. It aimed to introduce students to the fundamentals of wealth management and the career opportunities available in the field.

The session was conducted by Mr. Saurabh Jain, an experienced financial educator and mentor with over 17 years of experience. He holds several professional qualifications, including CA, CS, CFA, FRM, CFP (US), and CWM, and has trained more than two lakh participants over the years.

Mr. Jain spoke about the importance of understanding wealth management and how it can be explored as a career option. One of the key discussions during the session focused on the differences between financial management, investment banking, and wealth management. This helped students understand how these areas of finance differ and what each one involves.

The students were also introduced to the CWM (Chartered Wealth Manager) course and how pursuing it can help build a deeper understanding of wealth management. The discussion also touched upon the career and employment opportunities available in this sector, giving students an idea of the skills and knowledge required to enter the field.

What made the session more engaging was the interaction between Mr. Jain and the students. Students were able to ask questions and clarify their doubts, making the session more than just a lecture. It also gave them an opportunity to explore an area of the financial sector with which they may not have been familiar earlier.

The session concluded with students gaining a clearer understanding of wealth management, its differences from other financial fields, and the career opportunities it offers. Overall, the programme was an informative experience that encouraged students to look beyond the more commonly known areas of finance and explore wealth management as a potential career path.
