Objective of the event:
The lecture series constitutes an essential component of the Calcutta University Semester 2 examination. The lecture series was organised to enable students to have a comprehensive understanding of different aspects of writ jurisdiction and role of the judiciary in India.





Brief description of the event:
The six day lecture series was held on six Saturdays starting from 13th June and ending on 18th July, 2026. Advocate Soma Kar Ghosh dealt with the role of the Judiciary in India, the different types of Writs and its application and also Judicial Activism and Restraint.
Outcome of the event:
The lectures were very engrossing for the students and they actively participated in it. The students submitted reports after every lecture and conveyed their gratitude to our esteemed resource person.
