All round development of the personality of the students which includes apart from academic excellence, the spirit of punctuality, discipline, leadership and teamwork

Brief description of the event:
The Department of Political Science organised a Prize Distribution Ceremony under Academic and Disciplinary Measures for Semester IV Honours Students (ADM) on  20th July, 2026. The proceedings of the prize distribution ceremony commenced with  Amala Dhandhania,  Associate Professor, Department of Political Science explaining the parameters of the Academic and Disciplinary Measures on which the students were judged and awarded.  The prizes were awarded by honourable Vice Principal (Arts) Ms. Debjani Ganguly.

The following prizes and recognitions were given out:
a. Highest Class Attendance in all papers based on the attendance in four papers of  Political Science Honours DSCC 5, DSCC 6, DSCC 7 and DSCC 8- Inna Khan Aamna
b. Best Performer in Continuous Internal Assessment- Inna Khan Aamna
c. Best Daily Individual  Performance in Class- Aryan Mallick
d. Prize for the Highest Score in Written Academic Quiz – Aryan Mallick
e. Highest Score in Semester III Calcutta University Examination,2025 – Eqra Khan
f. Second Highest Score in Semester III Calcutta University Examination,2025 – Sriparna Tiwari

The Department introduced two new awards this time: Best Overall Performer (Boys), Best Overall Performer (Girls). This is based on the performance in Continuous Internal Assessment, Assignment, Written Academic Quiz, other related activities and participation in mentoring sessions. Students expressed satisfaction with the current criteria and appreciated the initiative by the department.
