An insightful seminar on “Digital Detox – Reclaim Your Focus, Reconnect with Life” was held on 20th July 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Jubilee Hall of The Bhawanipur Education Society College.

The seminar was conducted by Ms. Amrita RayChaudhary, an experienced corporate trainer, learning facilitator, and life skills coach with over 8,000 hours of training experience. Since 2018, she has worked with learners and professionals across diverse domains, helping them build self-awareness, communication skills, emotional resilience, and mindful digital habits through engaging and interactive sessions. To witness her share her knowledge on the said topic, around 100 students gathered in the Jubilee Hall.

Ms RayChaudhary explained that the aim of the seminar was not to prevent using mobile phones as they are an integral part of our lives. However, we need to know how to use them properly instead of letting them control us.

In order to make the process interesting for everyone, the speaker conducted various activities testing how gadgets impacted us. The students received white sheets where they listed the various ways in which digitalization has become essential in their daily lives. This engaged the students in a useful process of analyzing how addicted they have become to technology and if they control it or vice versa.

Discussing the influence of social media, ma’am highlighted how excessive exposure often leads individuals to compare themselves with others, affecting self-esteem and mental well-being. She observed that many of our perceptions and decisions are shaped by what we consume online and advised the students not to let digital influence dictate their personal choices. Speaking about the growing concerns surrounding mental health, she explained how the constant pursuit of dopamine-driven content through digital platforms has contributed to reduced attention spans, anxiety, and overall mental health issues in today’s generation.

The speaker concluded by encouraging students to develop healthier digital habits, strike a balance between the online and offline worlds, and use technology as a tool for growth rather than becoming dependent on it.
