Objective of the Activity:
The objective of the programme was to support an underprivileged school by providing essential furniture and educational infrastructure, thereby creating a more conducive learning environment for students. The initiative also aimed to promote awareness of classroom etiquette and encourage discipline and respect for education among school children.
Brief Description of the Activity:
The NSS Unit of The Bhawanipur Education Society College successfully conducted Seats of Hope 2 on 04th September 2026 at Nisco Hindi Vidya Mandir. This programme marked the second instalment of the Seats of Hope initiative, reaffirming the NSS Unit’s commitment to supporting schools with limited resources.
As part of the programme, more than 100 benches were donated to the school to improve seating facilities for students. In addition, cabinets and other essential furniture were provided to enhance the overall classroom infrastructure and create a comfortable and organized learning environment. Two NSS student volunteers actively participated in the initiative and interacted with the students by conducting a session on classroom etiquette. The volunteers emphasized the importance of discipline, respect, cleanliness, and responsible behaviour within the classroom, encouraging students to value their educational opportunities.
Outcome of the Activity:
The programme significantly improved the learning environment at Nisco Hindi Vidya Mandir through the provision of benches, cabinets, and other necessary furniture. A total of 65 students directly benefited from the initiative. The classroom etiquette session helped instil values of discipline and respect among the students, contributing to their overall personal and educational development. The successful implementation of Seats of Hope 2 reinforced the NSS Unit’s dedication to community service and educational support for underprivileged institutions.
