
Library Rules
LIBRARY RULES & REGULATIONS:
- Students can use library reading room from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, from Monday to Friday and Saturday upto 5:00 P.M. only.
- Students can use library “INTERNET” facilities only section wise i.e. (MORNING, DAY & EVENING) separately.
- Lending books will be issued to the student from Monday to Saturday on production of their lending cards which are issued by the library as per section wise timings.
- Reading room card is issued only for Reading purpose on production of R.R. Card. A student can read any type of book other than his subjects.
- No student will be allowed to enter the library room without Valid Library Card i.e. Reading Room Card/ Lending Card or College Identity Card.
- Honours students can get 2 (two) subject books at a time for 7 days. Further, if necessary or if there is no demand against the book, the student can get the book renewed for further 7 days.
- Students will get the lending books for reading at home on production of their lending library card. The card is kept in the library with properly filled in requisition slip.
OTHER RULES OF THE LIBRARY
- Marking by ink or pencil or writing on the library books, tearing pages or pictures of books or defacing the books will be treated as a breach of library rules.
- On receiving a book a student is expected to examine it for any kind of damage found therein, such damage should be immediately brought to the notice of the Librarian. Failure to do so may entail him/ her being held responsible for any damage detected later.
10. Books lost, damaged or defaced must be paid for by the student in whose name they have been issued. The cost shall be assessed by the Librarian.
11. No book or periodical can be taken out of the Library unless issued for home reading.
12. A student shall not retain a book issued to him/ her for home reading for more than seven days at a time. A student failing to return the book within this period will be liable to pay a fine as may be imposed by the College authorities.
13. The Librarian reserves the right to recall any book/ periodical issued at any time.
14. Each student will be issued a Requisition Slip against which books will be issued. A Requisition Slip is not transferable; any book when issued against a student, the Requisition Slip is kept inside his/ her lending card by the Library Personnel until he/she returns it in due time.
15. Sub-lending of books is strictly forbidden.
16. Regarding all other matters concerning the Library, the decision of the Principal/ Librarian will be final.
17. Students will maintain perfect silence and order inside the library. Anybody found sleeping, talking aloud, sitting in improper manner and violating the general rules of library conduct shall expose herself to several penalties.
18. Group discussion or any kind of class meeting is not allowed in the library.
19. All rules and regulations stated herein are subject to change without notice.

Students whose dress does not agree with the code prescribed by the College will be denied entry to the College campus. Short tops over jeans and three fourth will not be permitted.
- Giving proxy is a serious act of indiscipline.
- Students are answerable to the College authorities for their behaviour both in and outside the College. Any misbehaviour on their part that, in any way, hinders orderly administration and discipline and any act of violence or vandalism will be sternly dealt with.
- Demonstration of any kind in the College premises or outside the college premises is strictly prohibited.
- The students are prohibited from approaching the press or publishing any matter relating to the College without the written permission of the Principal.
- Students should not leave their books, valuables and other belongings in their class rooms. The College is not responsible for lost property.
- If for any reason, the continuance of a student in College is in the opinion of the Principal, detrimental to the best interests of the College, the Principal may ask such a student to leave the College. The Principal’s decision shall be final.
- No students will be allowed to take active part in politics and no political activity will be permitted on College premises.
- Students are not allowed to invite any outsiders / friends to the College or to the College canteen.
- If a student remains absent without prior permission / proper intimation for more than 15 days, his/ her name is liable to be removed from the College register and the College is not liable to send any intimation regarding the same to the concerned student or to his parent / guardian.
- No student shall contribute or collect money for any reason without prior written consent from the Principal.
- Matters not covered by the existing rules shall rest at the discretion of the Principal.
- College is not responsible for safekeeping of valuables or belonging of students.
- In all matters of discipline of the College, the Principal’s decision will be final and binding.
